Mission statement: Etiquettesystems.com, Inc. is a manufacturer of custom adhesive labels of all types for business applications. Strategic online marketing (SEO) of our web domain enables end-users to purchase directly through us instead of a reseller network. Our objective being, to get our customers the best suited label product, on time and within their budget. A colloquial term for the products we produce and supply is ‘stickers’. Not to be understood as just a children’s novelty, adhesive labels (decals) are used in almost every industry to attach to goods to identify contents, purpose and/or use, description, owner, origin, destination, etc. They are commonly made from paper, polymer, cloth or metal. But, labels have been made out of almost any imaginable combination of substrates, adhesives and release liners.

Our company specializes in production of pressure sensitive adhesive labels (also called peel and stick). These specific type of labels only require light surface pressure for them to anchor where some labels need to be heat/water activated, sewn or riveted into place.

Industry: The adhesive label business is not commonly perceived as its own industry. Although we print, we are not commercial printers as the process of making a label is completely different then that of making a brochure or business card. All it takes is for one to look around and see labels on almost ever consumer product. They are simply everywhere: packaged foods, automotive parts, shampoo bottles, windows, mobile phones, and even clothing. If there are products, there will be labels and our industry will continue to grow with market trends. Currently, adhesive labels are a multibillion-dollar industry so we see continual customer demand and stability. We foresee technologies changing in the way labels are produced. Labels can be converted conventionally, through a printing press or now by means of digital process. Etiquettesystems.com, Inc. can supply labels made from either method. We also foresee more companies turning to online resources to make label purchases so our company has put great emphasis on a web presence. We promote our products through search engine optimization so www.etiquettesystems.com is readily exposed to online shoppers. We also foresee our industry’s production processes becoming more environmentally conscience. Our paper byproduct can now be recycled into fuel pellets and our shop is operating completely waterless, ie. no water based ink or even a sink. Printing inks made from a soy base carrier are also available.

Company history: Etiquette Systems was originally started in Toronto, Canada in 2004 as a supplier of adhesive labels and some other closely related products. As a broker (reseller) we were only able to service our clients as well as our vendors serviced us. Although, strong in customer support and response, the label products we supplied we often underbid. The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is one of the most saturated label supplier demographics in North America and we were situated in the heart of it.
In 2005 we refocused our sales campaign from telemarketing to online marketing by establishing a website. We aggressively promoted www.etiquettesystems.com with ad words on Google and other popular search engines. As a result, we began getting calls for labels from all over the United States instead of just locally.

Most important strengths and core competencies: Our company does not offer a label catalogue or generic prices. All of our quotes are completely specification driven. All of the labels we produce are made to order. But, because we manufacture and sell direct to end-users, prices remain competitive even on short runs. To ensure we remain a well-priced one-stop shop we still act as a broker and outsource some of our label business if limitations or time are a factor. Ultimately, our website will be our major competitive strength. It will allow us to hone in on the ideal customer regardless of where they are physically. As the founder of Etiquette Systems, I have great passion for what we do. I care deeply for the ultimate success of this company and it’s not just about profit. Although we are in business to make money, I find great satisfaction in helping our customers in their business with our labels, especially startups. Many of our customers are new in business and ambitious to get their label packaging just right. My initial goal is to get them the most within a set budget while still meeting our obligations. With this methodology, chances are the customer will return with repeat business. As far as operations go, I am thorough and meticulous. Our shop is clean and more importantly, safe for our staff. Like our customers, I care for our employees’ well being and know in turn they will stick around. Money alone does not get me up at 5:00am every morning.
