Plastic Label

While they cost more than paper labels, plastic labels have several distinct advantages over their less-expensive brethren. For example, they're weatherproof: self adhesive plastic labels can handle moisture and temperature extremes with aplomb, and in many cases they're proof against chemicals like petroleum products and most solvents. That makes them ideal for labeling items stored or frequently used outdoors, whether for inventory control or simple identification purposes. You can even label plastic metal foil inventory stickers on auto and machine parts, and expect them to last the lifetime of the parts themselves. Plastic labels are generally tamperproof, too. Most self adhesive plastic labels stick tight to whatever you attach them to, and aren't going to peel off without breaking or deforming. This makes them ideal, for example, for price or inventory stickers, where it's imperative that the label remain on the object it's attached to. Before ordering your plastic labels, you'll need to pay particular attention to the type of plastic you need. Polyester is a good all-around material; it deforms nicely, and is proof against most weather extremes. However, transparent polyester soon becomes hazy, so polyolefin and biaxially-oriented polypropylene (BOPP) are better choices for see-through labels. Metalized plastic facestock is best for items exposed to high heat and chemicals. If you need a conformable squeezable label for a food container, polyolefin and BOPP are excellent choices.
